I was laughing about FORTRAN mostly because I still use some "old" languages myself. Different versions of BASIC on a few legacy systems. Whenever people come into the office and see some of the old terminals we still use, its amazing the diverse comments we get. From "dinosaurs" and "boat anchors" to "wow, those things are still running?".

Sometimes, if its not broken, why fix it?

Actually, I'll be off almost all my "ancient" systems within a few months. They've done the job and saved my company hundreds of thousands of dollars through the years but its time for progress to catch up with them and it will only cost in the tens of thousands to replace them now.
