I briefly dabbled in farming as a young man. Filled a couple barn lofts with hay, and spent a few weeks plowing and disking with a Ford diesel tractor. This was before enclosed cabs were common, so my romantic illusions of pastoral bliss were rudely clouded by the reality of obnoxious diesel noise and smoke. Around this time my brain finally matured, so I went to college and left farming behind. <g>

>>Wonder how well that fuel cell tractor worked?<<

I figure it was a typical prototype, and would have needed lots of further development. Be nice to have a machine like that without noise or smoke. Speaking of noise and smoke, here's some stuff that thrilled me as a little boy...

$450 per mule? Heck, that's a lot for 1947. It's not as though any of them were breeding stock either. They must have been excellent young mules. Maybe they were used for money-laundering. Maybe they were drug mules.
