Angie Dickinson was in a similar movie called "Pearl," a miniseries. imdb.com Her police drama: imdb.com Her filmography is so extensive I could not find the movies where she appeared with John Wayne. I remember a TV movie in the 70s called Hit Lady, in which she played an assassin.

I think Angie is still with us. Rio Bravo was the name of the movie with John Wayne and Angie. Also had Dean Martin and Ricky Martin. One of my favorites and I have it on DVD. Here is a clip with Dean and Ricky singing: youtube.com I love youtube.
