roberts is just another man, amongst a long list, of people who use something, in this case religion, to fool people out of their money in order to benefit their own self interests.

this is, of course, 100% contrary to biblical teaching. folks have long ago tossed out biblical teaching as having any meaning, though. mel gibson's jesus movie didn't mention the rich man and the eye of the needle teaching of jesus... it would make mel look bad. instead, they hold on to more comfortable tradition.

the real danger here is that people see these swindlers and totally tune out any of the valuable scriptural lessons.
