Mindmeld, you're confusing conservation with political conservatism. Political conservatives believe in smaller, more local government that respects individual freedoms. Environmentalists for the most part think that the means to their ends lies in huge, centralized government that passes ever so stringent restrictions on our way of life. I generalize, but what I said is closer to the truth than the notion that true conservatives must believe the global warming alarmists. Tenchusatsu
