WR, GAVE is past tense... they are audited annually.. I understand that. I'm talking about CURRENT disclosure. That way, when one of the people that a group is supporting testifies, or is interviewed, the supporting group should identify their activities for public disclosure. And I don't care if it's OSI, or some other group (on either side of the issue). What I want to know is whether some kind of "expert" is being financed... Just in the same way that an securities analyst must disclose financial compensation, or a direct postion in the stock they are discussing. Disclosing such support will force scientists to focus more on the accuracy of the message they are trying to convey. And as far as I'm concerned, it will "out" those who are involved in hidden COIs.
