I kept hearing something about 5 Iranian guys that the Iranians say are diplomats and we say are insurgent supporters, but that was about 18 months ago that they were caught. What's the number up to now?

That's a good question and I don't have an answer ready. I do know that the reports cover several instances at least, not just the original 5 guys from Irbil (incidently, I read one account from an American general who was just steamed that MSM repeated Iran's words calling them diplomats; he said they were captured absolutely as combatants on the battlefield), but several more captures, one large one that happened in the spring and contained evidence on the January Karbala attack, and several more captures of single officers. I'll post it if I find anything more.

I saw an interesting article in the Christian Science Monitor the other day that said the Revolutionary Guards had assumed the characteristic of a "praetorian force" in Iranian politics, i.e., they are politically involved and might choose the next ruler. It should be noted that Ahmedinijad is very tight with the Revolutionary Guard and served in the Basiji Brigrades.
