When someone doesn't agree with your position, or worse, criticizes your position, you automatically call them partisan.

That's more your habit, and that of some others here, than its mine. I don't throw around the partisan charge too often, but Krugman is a fairly extreme case.

Of course highly partisan doesn't mean wrong. His arguments deserve to be considered on their own merits, but this conversation started with a response to a blog post about Krugman, so Krugman is the issue and yes,as the blogger pointed out, the quality of his public economic writing has indeed gone down.
