Japanese prisoners were sent to pile up lava rocks into stone walls along the upper reaches of the Mauna Kea volcano on the big island. Out-of-sight and out-of-mind. A depressing make-work existence for sullen people who regarding themselves as failures. Those who surrendered were not the ones you wanted to talk to.

When a country is moral, its actions aren't influenced by the other side. In fact, they stand in contrast to the other side. Up until '01, we were a more or less moral country. Now, we have become the poster child of immorality. "We can be better than the US". I hope you are proud of that. Why do you hate America so much?
