Well, I suppose there will be LM trade talk, but I don't think anything will materialize. He played well enough in his short time this year to more or less eliminate the crowd of fans who were desperate to get rid of him, but I don't think he commands enough interest to bring in a Santana. Those big package deals seem kind of ridiculous most of the time.. kind of like offering Ed Kranepool, Al Jackson, Jay Hook, Dennis Ribant and Cleon Jones for Sandy Koufax in '65 <g>. Tough series for the Cubs. It probably all swung on Piniella taking Zambrano out early in Game one, although the move seemed to make sense to me at the time.
