That's not what they were thinking, they were thinking free speech and guns are the two weapons needed to combat a government from going wild - horse are just transportation.

If every gun had to be registered, then it would be easier to track down guns used in crimes. It would be HARDER for a guy to just pick up 200 guns in one state and sell them in another state.

Such bullshit - a serial number does not find criminals. Canada has already shown the big expensive database has not solved any crimes. Worse you actually think people will bring the 100+ million existing handguns in to be registered.

YES we have some Muslims over here, but WHY should we assume they plan to do anything wrong???

Why not arrest black babies before they start their life of crime? :-)

I cannot think of any government in this country that would deprive a law abiding, registered, gun owner from keeping a firearm for his own personal protection.

Tell it to the Canadians and Austrailians who registered, then lost their guns. The gov't just used the database to go collect'em up.
