We were told that our tax bill is based on the house footprint, which is why there are so many two story houses in our state.

Well......sort of. We have 5 stairs up to the main floor from the front yard and from the garage. Then we have a step down living room/dining room and also a bonus room up above the garage with five steps. The main living area is all one level except for that step down living room. It is a contemporary rambler.

Ramblers are very popular with retired people.

Funny.......I just looked.......and I don't have a picture of our house in my Picasa program.
