Funny, that is just what we both said after seeing 3:10 to Yuma tonight.... He thinks it's because there really aren't any good writers any more...I said there are ...Vince Flynn and Brad Thor have good action in their books, but they are more conservative, and the libs won't touch them.

He said that even Redford used to have some wonderful movies....Sting and Butch Cassidy were two of them....

So much of what is out there is foul language, skimpy dresses, and just pap....

I didn't see a single movie that I wanted to watch.

Isn't that the truth! The last "in the theater" movie I saw was Crimson Tide. How long ago was that? Prolly a dozen, or more, years ago. I never rent anymore and find very little of interest on TV. Yet, I live alone and have 3 sets in the house, pay too much for cable, bitch about it every month and watch a couple hours of Fox news, some baseball or football, then shut it off.

My Sweet Shirley more than makes up for my lack of interest. She and her girl friends take in at least a couple movies a week. She's an addict, I suspect. We learned long ago not to discuss this, in the interest of preserving the friendship.

Hollywood has also fallen into the trap of thinking everyone wants to see Britney and the remainder of the ignorant sluts, when in actuality, people are craving a satisfying story with respectable actors.
