Here's the problem. You think that because the Taliban considered the Christian missionaries "extremist," the fact that the missionaries went to Afghanistan makes them not very peaceful at all.

It's the mindset that says, "All viewpoints are valid, and we have no business telling others whether they are right or wrong." Of course, people who hold this mindset hypocritically tell Christians that they are wrong and that their viewpoint isn't valid.

Just like what you are doing right now.

My viewpoint is that the Christian missionaries are peaceful and should be defended as such. You attack them on the basis of what the Taliban thinks, which lends validity to a group that wants to see YOU dead. How does that make sense?
