Probably not much different than parts of Philadelphia and many other inner cities throughout the US. Some border areas touched upon with gentrification/"it's not that bad and it's affordable," but that was a rare instance as a result of the bubble.

So you really don't think the drug-infested, ghetto homes will ever rebound to 80k? :)

Other parts are incredibly dangerous to be in, especially at night.

The movie, 8 mile has some really good visuals from some of the grittier parts of Detroit.

A lot of inner cities have RE that is worth less than zero.
