Hardly - we've actually done better than all the signatories to kyoto - our emissions have grown by the least percentage and not a one of the other has met their goals - so in effect we are already leading by example.

Of course this all assumes that CO2 causes global warming and not the Sun or other natural processes and that a warmer earth would actually be a bad thing. Worse that we actually believe by driving a different car we can stop/reverse the "warming".
