If all of Washington circles the wagons and everyone agrees that inflation is only 2%, then I guess that's what 2% means now

It's one of those New Math things again I think, e.g.:

- gasoline from $2 to $3 per gallon = 2% inflation
- milk from $2.50 to $4 per gallon = 2% inflation

Evidently I need a new calculator, because I keep getting a different answer -- I guess it's time for me to buy a new calculator and add to the Chinese trade surplus
