October 08, 2007 (Reuters) -- The head of the Federal Communications Commission declined to investigate reports that phone companies turned over customer records to the National Security Agency, citing national security concerns, according to documents released on Friday.

That seems reasonable, but I can't get over the stuff Gartner said in 1999 regarding B2B spending and the prospects of Ariba and others. That pretty much tarnished their reputation in my mind forever.

Those of us in business knew B2B was a joke then just as we do now.
