Greenpeace urges kangaroo consumption to fight global warming
>

There is a city called Newcastle in Australia. Off the coast, one can see any number of ships carting coals away from Newcastle to China.

I think the total number of kangaroos in Australia could fit into a few of the ships.

"Fighting" global warming, is like "fighting" inflation. Inflation and CO2 production are things we choose to have. There isn't a fight.

Inflation can be stopped by lunchtime by reducing the money supply or even just by holding it constant. Cancel all new money printing. As the government collects money by taxes, burn the old notes. Hey presto, inflation will stop.

CO2 production can be cut by lunchtime too. Raise taxes to $10 a kilogram of carbon used for combustion [not bitumen for example]. You will find people will stop buying carbon. Cut taxes on cyberspace, fresh or frozen food, and incomes of poor people. People will then still be able to afford to buy the carbon if they really need it, so poor people wouldn't be disadvantaged, but they will choose to do something different and keep the money. They will also enjoy better health as cheaper foods will be more attractive and they'll be more productive as cyberspace will be cheaper.

There is no need to be mean to kangaroos.
