i'm a budhist and an atheist. how weird is that?

new translation of the old testament psalms out... really gives pause to the king james version, which it would appear, was written in its own image.

Michael, I assume by your shock and dismay that you have never
solicited a higher power (like praying for pussy) and then finding a Swedish hitchhiker on the road to Wiesbaden?
I realize that praying for a Queen is a little low brow, but nevertheless, God may not see the difference.
Lew

KT,

It didn't really both me much, but I knew it would bother a lot of people. It also runs counter to what I was taught and "would believe" you should be praying for if I wasn't agnostic. ;-)

to the houston chronicle, chronically going out of business

to the listed READER REP:

hi

just to let you know....

the chronicle through the years has become absolutely the worst rag of a paper i've read anywhere in the world. i've been around. yes, the paper business is a hard one, and what the owners have done, shows it..... a cheap silly money making rag. the houston free press has more journalism in a single issue than the chronicle does in a year.

my complaint however is this. i buy the sunday paper at the local wherever, and this past sunday, i found a little note, after my purchase, esplaining the disappearance of the tv guide.

was that really the best way to get me to subscribe directly with your paper? by cheating me first?

i swear, as of that moment forward, i will never, never, never, never ever willingly spend a single penny that i knowingly think is going to your paper or its parent organization. never!

meanwhile... i'm printing out my own weekly guide at a far cheaper cost than i was paying to you idiots every sunday.

lastly, you can take this email and stick it up the rear end of the brainiac who came up with this vision of raising subscription sales. from me, he/she would get the master moron award and an instant map to the front door were he/she in my employment. thankfully he/she is not.

you've got my email address......... do you really need my name for this?
