I was a big fan of Eric Hoffer. He was one of the great one's for sure!

His greatest feat was when he realized "the kids" were right to protest the Viet Nam war and his support of it was wrong.
he immediately stopped all his news paper columns and faded from the intellectual scene.

Almost no intellectual has ever done that. Admit he was wrong about something. There is no one I admire more than he for that action.

He talkedthe talk and walked the walk. Socrates took poisen.

The most impoportant thing is to develop a philosophy.
