Part of Karl Roves plitical strategy is to force dems to lie about gay marriage as most people do not like it. that issue alone probably won GW the election in Ohio last time out. And for that karl rove got standing ovations and was claled bush's brain. Most americans do not like the idea of gay marriage and it is the perfect wedge issue, like scaring people to death with all of the terrorism hyperbole, for the republicans. "Got to get them there so they do not come here. What nonsense. Ga basing is an ugly wedge issue just like segregation was!! Most people in the south prior to 1964 did not like racial integration. That was real ugly.
