I think in a large company it pretty much works the same as if one got married. We both have our own insurance, but if I wanted to go on hers we would have to pay an additional amount. Plus get married. Funny that domestic partner only works for gay people at Janet's firm. Of course if we were married I'd have to trade through her firm and pay exorbitant commissions or provide endless paperwork to trade at IB. It's always something.
