LOL. That's hilarious. It's like nuclear power plants. They can get us off the oil, along with changing our cars to electric, but the enviro nuts will say that nukes are unsafe or that if we built it here we'll endanger some rare form of red worm that we have to protect.

Look, I know that longnshort and others like him who are fanatical right wingers will try to classify me as a radical left wing enviro-freak. But the fact is that I don't believe in abortion, gay marriage or high taxation. I also believe in keeping our military strong and working towards Democracy and free trade across the world. These are all conservative principles. However, I also believe in fiscal conservatism and spending only what we bring in in terms of tax revenues. Bush does and these neo-cons do not. I also believe in the sound use of Diplomacy. Bush is an idiot when it comes to Diplomacy. I also believe in striking terrorists where they get their funding, rather than sending my kids to their deaths to bring Democracy to a region that is proving to be incapable of Democracy, and spending $600B of my taxpayer dollars to do it.

So let's get back to our conservative roots and spend money WISELY. Let's get off the oil, get out of Iraq, and start spending some of those hundreds of billions on hitting terrorists where it hurts them the most, not breeding new ones in Iraq.
