MMG might be a buy here -- I know there are some guys that are big on it here ... I rode it from 1 somethin to almost 4 the first time around -- but now it looks like it is shaping up for another real good run.

Wow, that's kinda scary. I hadn't looked back at my old $hui positions, but they basically haven't participated in the rally at all: AU HMY GFI RANGY. Only ASA doing anything at all, and it's still within 10% of where I sold it over a year ago.

What gives? Are the South African producers just not participating at all? Rand too strong?

Perhaps if I get back into gold here, I'll just stick to sector funds.
