I think the majority of Americans are fine with nativity scenes, I don't see why the minority should win without a leg to stand on. The minority of course will not win without a leg to stand on. But in communities, they become the significant minority and eventually the majority. At that point, when they insist of requiring female students to cover their heads, and 51% of the American community agree, its hard to say both "FU" and also "you must celebrate the birth of Christ", and maintain the logical and moral high ground. If the determinant is only what the majority is fine with, things are eventually going to (perhaps) get tricky. Maybe UAE and Turkey will be able to overthrow the rest of the middle east. No thanks. Then they would have to manage the rest of the ME. Who would want that??
