Gus > Putin emphasized that nuclear weapons in Iranian hands was also a strategic threat to Russia, even more than to other countries. This is because the missiles Iran can launch can easily reach Russia - not other European countries or the U.S.

But Iran has no intention of using any kind of weapons against Europe or the US, or even Russia. The whole hysterical response to Iran's alleged nuclear program is simply a pretext for the US/Israel to attack Iran for whatever nefarious purpose they really have in mind. Clearly, Russia recognises this because it is the one who has installed Iran's nuclear facilities, certainly in recent years.

Furthermore, Russia has supplied Iran and Syria with military ordinance which you have already suggested is useless. Be that as it may, if Russia suspected for a moment that one day those weapons would be used by Iran against it (Russia), they (the Russians) would not have supplied them.
