Do what?

attend columbia graduate school for example if working in nyc. or one of the other top schools if working in la, chicago, boston. if you want to moveon. no pun intended.. you must join the club,, i had to do you must do it to get ahead. the person may be very qualified but will not advance without graduate degree.. not that he would ever use it , it just and stamp he needs on his papers.

i have seen those going what school to attend for the graduate program otherwise they were told it wouldn't help them. such nonsense.

falsh back to early 60's no one had a degree doing basic accounting and other office work. the people were excellent in writing, math and resolving problems. move to 80's these jobs all have college degree required. move to late 80's most of the detail postings etc are computerized. the top college graduates have no idea of the basics. their background now is i input these receipts, shipments, phsycial inventories etc into the pc.. All they really know is double check all data entries if out of balance etc.. none seem to know how the calculations are made, how one entry relates and builds to another. We can process much more data with fewer people , that are higher educated ,school wise, but lack basic understanding about how the business operates.
