As this gold bull progresses over the coming weeks the major theme may be that the central banks will be viewed more and more as being impotent. The "Wizard of Oz" is a pretty good tale. There will be many days like today and it should get more and more wild as we go along. The tech market of '98-99 was like this pretty well every day. As the market gets used to it the bull grows. It is one of the very signatures of a bull market.
Today could have been a ST technical reversal that will lead to further consolidation over the next 2-3 weeks. FWIW I really do not care if it is because gold is going to new ATHs within the next few months. The best strategy since 2001 was not t worry about such things and it is no different now except the bull is getting bigger:)
