Part of that Moose, is the different values of each party.

Republicans have this thing about sex-lol, which the dems simply do not share. Many of the things republicans run their own people out of office about are not really true crimes or just misdemeaners. Like affairs and prostitution. Which most libertarians I believe should be legalized last time I looked.

So it seems that way i.e. that republicans run more people in their party out office for criminal behavior, but it is because they equate sex with stealing for instance. Dems, by and large, do not care what people do with their sex lives. Rigthly or wrongly.

The dems see this type of thinking as Calvinistic and in the vane of Queen Victoria i.e. not a big deal.

Now true criminal behavior is treated as seriously by both parties I believe.
