"Must surely be one of the worst deals that Jews have ever made." Jews or Zionists? To the Zionists, Jews lives were cheap, especially the the rabble Jews of Eastern Europe (to the exclusion of the German Jews). Bad deal? Who paid for this deal? Palestinians and frightened European, Mizrahi Jews and the American taxpayers! The Ashkenazis own prime real estate overlooking the Mediterranean and visit Isra'El to bring their booty stolen from the West, while the Sephardim struggle to deal with the realities on the ground. It was a good deal for some. len
