Anyone out there still interested in HDD companies? The recent Thailand floods have seemingly put Seagate Technology in driver's seat relative to Western Digital, in that both Thai WDC plants Were put under water, while Seagate's plant was on high ground, still operational. this fact ignored by many analyst write ups. If Seagate can secure needed other components for HDD production, can shine during period of HDD shortages, maybe up to a year's time. Any thoughts? Bye the way, I think WDC is nominally the stronger company of the two, but flooding could change that.
