It would be more than symbolic to the poor... it might just push them over the edge to homelessness. And as you say it wouldn't raise much revenue so wouldn't solve our deficit problem.

I'm not sure their feeling of being "owners" of the country would be so heartfelt when they are living in a cardboard box.
