mindmeld, I'd like to see Democrats get closer to some of the proposals Bush had for solving Social Security, by moving to a system that tags payments in to the SS# of the individual and establishing mandatory savings amounts and prohibiting withdrawls until retirement age, etc. Chance of that ever happening is 0%. It is 180% counter to Dem thinking. Democrats want people to be dependent, at mercy of government. That's the source of their power. Joe
