I did that, although I stopped short of doing a thesis for a master's degree. I was too busy practicing what I'd learned -- in the real world.

I'd like to go back to school to learn something entirely new. There are so many subjects, I can hardly choose among them so it's probably good I don't have the time right now.

Let's see:

Geology?

Creative Writing?

Playing the fiddle or some other musical instrument?

Wood working?

Architecture?

The only thing I'm not interested in is more education in my chosen profession, from which I'm now retired. The principles I already know are still valid, unlike those professions you cited as getting out of date, but there are so many people throwing political influence at it you can't do what's best any more.
