This article was a good one on Thompson------just playing around with ideas here regarding possible combinations for the Republican ticket------

"On the other hand, even though Fred Thompson doesn't have the credibility of a Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter on the illegal immigration issue, people can believe him when he says he will build the fence, secure the border, insist on a security-first policy, and go after sanctuary cities. "

Consider the possible following combinations for balance across the spectrum of voters and also for geographic balance----------

1. Thompson of Tennessee and Giuiliani of New York

Giuiliani of New York and Thompson of Tennessee

2. Thompson of Tennessee and Tancredo of Colorado

Tancredo of Colorado and Thompson of Tennesee

3. Thompson of Tennesse and Duncan Hunter of California

Duncan Hunter of California and Thompson of Tenn.

4. Romney of New York and Thompson of Tennessee

Tompson of Tennessee and Romney of New York

5. Thompson of Tennessee and Mc Cain of Arizona

McCain of Arizona and Thompson of Tennessee

I did not include all of the Republican candidates; will leave that to the reader-----these appear to be front runners.

Opinions???
