It is a theory which holds, basically, that human beings collectively are manic-depressive (g/ng). Manic episodes correspond to boom markets (and eventually bubbles), while the down periods will be associated, naturally, with bear markets (and more somber social moods). Moreover, all this occurs in fractals - ranging from many years all the way down to minutes. Smaller scale fractals are considered (by many) to be useful for trading.
