The effects of global warning about which Gore speaks are not projected to occur for many years, even according to him. [That sure makes his job a lot easier, I suppose.]
NoW be fair! So Gore said sea levels would rise by 30' and the correct figure is 18"? What's a mere factor of 20 between friends?

Of course, the truth is that the choice was political. Period.
The Peace Prize purely political. Period. When you look at those who got it and those nominated for it, no other conclusion is possible.

The violence in Darfur is linked, in part, to global warming which has caused drought worsening. The melting of the glaciers in the Himalayas certainly could cause war over water. The MeKong River which has its source in those glaciers serves 5 different countries and China has caused a problem by damning that river.
