One day, women will be able to tick the boxes and really get the eugenics working, bootstrapping humans at a much accelerated rate, without the cruelty, suffering and waste that nature inflicts on people. When women are only having 1 or 2 children in their lives, it seems silly to leave it largely to random rehashes of the genetic lottery to decide whether cystic fibrosis will kick in, or early stomach cancer, or any number of other horrors.
