agree he was talking plural, including that scumbag Murtha..who never saw a day of combat, but speaks like he has...........the Haditha Marines should sue his fat ass.........

Note the use of plural "phony soldier(s). And the fact that Jesse MacBeth (the guy that Rush later said was the ONLY phony soldier) gets mentioned a couple minutes after* the phony soldier phrase.* Rush had been discussing Jesse Macbeth and Scott Thomas Beauchamp in the hour before this call. I agree you can't tell it from that one section, but it's clear from the larger context what Rush was thinking of. There is a longstanding pattern, dating back to Vietnam Vets against the War, of men claiming to be vets repenting of commiting war crimes, who made it all up but whose stories were nonetheless accepted uncritically. This is naturally a pattern Rush keeps harping on.
