23 Percent Say Bush Is Worst President Paul Steinhauser,CNN Posted: 2007-11-09 11:24:00 Filed Under: Politics News WASHINGTON (Nov. 9) — Twenty-three percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll released Thursday say that compared to other presidents in American history, President Bush is the worst ever. Thirty-five percent of those surveyed say that Bush is doing a poor job compared to other presidents and 40 percent said he was doing a good job compared to his predecessors. Only 1 percent said that Bush was the best president ever in American history. Thirty-four percent of those surveyed approve of how Bush is handling his job as president. That’s down slightly from the 36 percent who approved of the President's job performance when we asked the same question last month. Bush’s approval rating has consistently been below 40 percent for more than a year. "The last president with approval ratings this low for this long was Harry Truman. Truman's approval rating dropped below 50 percent in January 1950 and stayed below that mark for the rest of his presidency, says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland, adding that “Bush won't reach that milestone for several months.” There continues to be a partisan split regarding President Bush. Seventy-two percent of Republicans polled approve of Bush’s performance. That number drops to 12 percent among Democrats. Twenty-seven percent of independents approve of the President’s handling of his job. The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation telephone poll of 1,024 American adults was conducted Friday through Sunday. Do you actually believe all that insipid liberal whining? Here's a strong American woman who offers hope & inspiration to suppressed people all over the world, especially women: Russian Rights Activists Supported By Rice United Press International, 2007-10-13 MOSCOW - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice voiced her support to Russian human rights activists during a visit to Moscow this week, a report First of all, Ann, Condi Rice has been a huge disappointment whether you want to acknowledge that or not. Secondly, before I vote for another Republican, the party will have a do a thorough cleaning of those who are corrupted. Its seems almost weekly a Republican is arrested, indicted or picked up either for an illicit sex act or some form of corruption or some other illegality. In addition, it needs to put the religious right in their proper place. Thirdly, the GOP does not represent American values. Its all about the money and that's now what America is about. Fourthly, Republicans enjoy starting wars. I don't agree with that philosophy. So please, let Condi Rice go back to Stanford......if they will have her...and they may not. We don't need another Republican president for some time.
