Bush is brilliant when he does his own thinking and talks off the cuff. Not so much when he reads a politically correct speech written by somebody else.

"About Schmidt" starred Jack Nicholson. He played a retiring VP of an insurance company where he set the actuarial tables that determined the risk they undertook with their policies. It was a successful company, which indicates that he was doing a good job.

When he retired, he labeled all his archives and boxed them neatly up, spit shined his office, and watched the clock until the last second of his work day. Then he got up and left.

The next day he had to return to the office for something, and saw all his neatly labeled boxes in the dumpster. The company obviously did not value his expertise the way they should have.
