"The Alaskan Eskimo used to send their old people out on an ice floe to die" isn't this pretty much what the eu. health system does today. I don't believe they will perform surgery etc on elderly. no pay out since life expectancy wouldn't be extended much further anyway. here, edlerly are expendable, they served their purpose. The younger generation no longer care for their elders , they send them off to a nursing home , where average life expectancy is about nine months. Listen to the stories of home care aides how the significant other will not care or the children refuse to change an adults diaper. I hear from others if my husband gets sick i can't care for him he will go to a nursing home. these people are not saying they cannot physcially care for the person. It is rather a burden on their planned programs. I figure it's not much further from putting them on the ice floe to die.

There was no hospital. No running water....they couldn't even bring the ill one a cold cloth. No medicine of any kind except whatever bark or grass or tree leaves might work. We take care of our ill as well. And you darn well know it, if you've been here for more than a second or two. koan: your kidding, right-lol? Of course there were no hospitals, lol, Neanderthal lived 200,000 BC to about 30,000 BC. That was a given, a truism. But archeologial evdience shows that when members were injured the tribe took care of them as well as they could. They know this because many of the injuries would have killed them if they had not been taken care of. The operatvie phase is "as best as they could" Are we taking care of our ill as well "as well as we can" give the fact that we are the richest country on earth? We are the only western nation to not have some form of universal health care. I did find it intersting that you through out a sex change as what you would call an outragous type of surgery. Some women are born in male bodies and some men are born in female bodies. This causus them great anguish. I think such a surgery is about as valid as they get!
