From MIsh:

Super SIV Bailout Plan Doomed To Fail
globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com
In an effort to bailout commercial paper, the treasury and several large banks have devised a plan that boils down to this: Don't ask-Don't Sell. Don't Ask what an asset is worth. Don't Sell or you will find out and not like the result. The plan attempts to keep assets off balance sheets. The proposed solution is a delay tactic and doomed to fail.
Mish

This is pretty ominous. I wonder how many hedge funds are not allowing redemptions now-

HTWC - nice results from this dinky small bank.
Credit quality has actually improved for this bank:
biz.yahoo.com

1.34M shares issued (the remainder is in the MHC) and 18.25M shares outstanding -> effective book value 13.6$/share 9not counting MHC shares that will be issued a few years down the road). This is a regional bank stock i am not going to sell.
