"Exaggeration is not the same as bigotry.

In a context where it unfairly and negatively portrays a group of people, or innocent people by association with a group, it is bigotry. It is even more obvious when it is designed to assign a general fear and loathing with regard to a group and its members, innocent as well as guilty.

As you so properly explained it "Fear can also motivate us to take action against people". I am not surprised you want to argue that point, given your sponsorship of the nuke em all 'Truth' thread and all. Since there is no legitimate defense of bigotry, I suppose the next best thing is a pretense that it isn't real. Don't expect me to validate that position for you though. It is divisive and destructive by its nature.

On the other hand, the deliberate and sober encouragement of another’s curiosity toward a purposeful and decent life is the natural relationship of one person to another in the family of humanity. When genuine, it is unifying and would never need defending.

Peace on Earth, with goodwill toward all.

Best regards,
