The whole global warming thing is just too political in my book. It is also a way for a lot of people and organizations to make money from fear tactics.

Ever wondered why there are so many "studies?" Often conflicting studies? Or studies over stupid hypotheses? It's your tax dollars at work, baby. Just as tax dollars are used to fund organizations that are really political and shouldn't be the beneficiaries of forced taxation of people who might not
agree with their political philosophies. Today, everything under the sun is "studied" through grants, including the huge boondoggle of studies related to "global warming" in one way or another.

Take Al Gore, his *carbon credits* and the fact that he *pays them" to a company from which he profits. He's now turned himself into the political equivalent of a rock star, promoting his convenient half-truths. "Global warming" was a means to an end for him. If it wasn't that, it would have been something else.

Yes, I'm a huge cynic.
But, sorry, I just don't think Gore has done much for peace in the world. To me, he's just another politician who's re-invented himself in an effort to find some prestige and a bunch of money. Jimmy Carter is another example, only his schtick is a pretense of doing something meaningful in the peace and humanitarian areas, while really looking to pander to the extreme left as a means of fixing his legacy.
