David, I find it odd also that you and everyone who wants to may say whatever they wish to about Brinker and their own opinion of his "character" on a public internet board, because after all, he's a "public figure".

And yet you seem to take offense at my comment that "Following and summarizing and analyzing and re-selling Brinker's work and then characterizing it as amateurish seems odd to me", calling it "innuendo". Seems pretty straightforward to me. I also said it was my opinion.

And after all (no offense)...are you not a "public figure"? Not to the extent that Brinker is, I understand, but still...are comments not allowed? If so, I hope you'll let us all know so that...well, let's just say before anything untoward happens.

<<I think the criticism he gets now comes from people who know his tricks so to speak.>>

--I think I and most if not all of the other non-bashers "know his tricks" as well as the bashers know them.

I think we, in general, are simply more tolerant of his "tricks" because we are grateful for the good things he has done for us, and believe he still performs a service. And we see no point in looking at every Marketimer with a magnifying glass or listening to every radio program with a tape recorder and a note pad, in order to find things to criticize!

Not to mention that the bashers like to exaggerate his faults, pooh-pooh his good calls, and in general use every trick in the book to make him look as bad as possible. In short, they spin, just like he does!

I believe in looking at both the good AND the bad, and I believe that is how most if not all non-bashers feel.
