PS - US military superiority derives solely from air power. Just look at the reports. Every time Marines get bogged down by a sniper they call in an air strike and waste the whole building. Works every time.

Fear = Profit.

We spend so much on 'defense' aka The Department of War and Aggression because it is hugely profitable. Paranoia, fear and stupidity are wonderful allies of crony capitalism.

Take out the profit motive, take out the out of control spending. If profiteering aka Blackwater or Halliburton were made criminal (as it should be) then we would find diplomacy verrrrrrry attractive.
