As you know, I regularly post charts of XLE and XLF ratios to SPX..

.Useful...to me...as backward looks only...giving some understanding of major moves in the market as related to these weighty sectors... in the past...

Have never seen any use for them in looking forward...and any attempts to do so can IMHO lead badly astray..

Can't argue with you guys, on this. It what works for you. I know people make a living trading various relative strength strategies. I think Teaparty was suggesting one here just the other day.

Anyway, the futures are flattish, except for something negative down in Brazil. Tomorrow promises to be an interesting day... regrettably I won't be around to see it, except maybe in pre-market and for a short while in the afternoon... Have fun! Make money... always liked the idea of having rich friends... -g
