As a follow up, why did the US restore a corrupt monarchy to power in Kuwait? It was the American blood and gold that pulled that patch of land from Saddam's claws. So why didn't Bush Sr. care an iota to negotiate a new democratic constitution in exchange for such a grand help? Why are you guys to cozy with absolute dictatorships who tow your party line? Where were your principles then?
